GalleryVideo Maximilian Hotel and its surrounding
Maximilian's interiors glide with references to "La Maison de Verre" by Pierre Chareau in Paris. Art Deco, Modernism and contemporary design lend great pleasure. Chairs, sofas tables and lightning follow the designs of Pierre Chareaou, Guiseppe Terrani, Eileen Grey, Luke Pearson and Tom Lloyd, as well as Eva Jiricna Architects in collaboration with Al Design
In the reception: you are greeted by a large wall of onyx - stone so much loved by late Art Deco and Modernism. The rooms are in various combinations of similar materials in colours elated to the chosen architectural period. Graphics by Czech artists of the era are exhibited throughout the hotel, on loan from the
Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague.
